This professional options investor examines the performance of the Pacific Stock Exchange Technology Index compared with other market indices as a speculative and hedging tool.
FIGURE 2: PACIFIC STOCK EXCHANGE TECHNOLOGY INDEX.
While the trend has been up since early 1995, the PSE index was in a trading range
the fourth quarter of 1995. Comparing Figure 2 with Figures 3 and 4 shows that
over the long term, the indices tend to trend together but over shorter-term horizons,
the indices and the PSE can move independently.
