Advanced Historical Charts and OPTIONS Data
 |
iVolatility.com
announced a new service that provides historical data and interactive charts
since 1999. It's organized into four areas: implied volatility index; historical
volatility; iVindex versus price, correlation, and beta; and skew and kurtosis.
iVolatility.com and the Chicago Board Options Exchange introduced a
premium source of options information data. Options can provide a powerful
antidote for market volatility. The CBOE has the tools and strategies needed
to gain an investing edge, such as myCBOE, which can be customized to meet
specific information needs.

Interactive Brokers Links To All US Options Exchanges
 |
Interactive Brokers has extended its linkage services to include the
American Stock Exchange, making it the first brokerage firm to have linkage
capabilities at all five US options exchanges.
In the fall of 1999, the US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC)
directed the options exchanges to electronically link their markets. All
five US options exchanges Ñ the AMEX, the Chicago Board Options
Exchange, the International Securities Exchange, the Pacific Exchange,
and the Philadelphia Stock Exchange Ñ are participants in the interim
linkage program.
The number of issues traded in the interim linkage program has grown
to more than 50. The program is designed to help ensure that options orders
are executed at the best possible price, regardless of whether that price
is quoted on the exchange to which the order was originally routed.

XpressTrade Introduces Dynamic Quotes
 |
Xpresstrade
has
launched Dynamic Quotes for self-directed retail futures traders. The application
is a Java-based, real-time, streaming quotewatch product. It allows futures
traders to create multiple quote portfolios and to select the column headings
to display (symbol, last, open, high, low, % change, etc.).
Symbol search functionality assists traders who aren't familiar with
specific trading symbols. Price alerts notify customers by e-mail when
predefined upper or lower price targets have been triggered in the futures
markets they're tracking. And full integration with the rest of the Xpresstrade
system allows traders to move quickly from Dynamic Quotes to precompleted
order entry screens.
Dynamic Quotes is a proprietary Xpresstrade feature and is offered free
of charge to all Xpresstrade clients (exchange market data fees apply).
