CANDLE CHARTS SEMINAR ON NOVEMBER 17

Steve Nison and Toni Turner will present a two-day seminar, "East and West Unite," in New York City's Manhattan Club, November 17-18, 2001. Nison, the guru of candlesticks, first revealed the strength of candle charts to the Western world and is the author of several books on candlestick charting.

The first day of the seminar will feature a full-day workshop, "Secrets to Becoming a Master Candle Chartist," during which Nison will reveal favorite techniques and strategies. It is designed to benefit both new users of candle charts as well as experienced users.

On the second day of the seminar, Turner will present her comprehensive one-day workshop, "Swing Trading Strategies." Whether you hold stock positions for days or weeks, Turner will teach you how to profit in uptrends and downtrends. Early registration discounts are available.

    TECHNICAL ANALYSIS SEMINAR NOVEMBER 14

The Technical Securities Analysts Association of San Francisco will hold its 18th annual seminar on November 14, 2001, titled "Bull, Bear or Nowhere?" This year's seminar will feature a debate between a bullish and bearish speaker to help attendees sort through the momentous question of market direction.

Harry S. Dent Jr., best-selling author of The Great Boom Ahead and The Roaring 2000s, will make a bullish long-term case using demographics and technical analysis. Peter G. Eliades, author and publisher of Stock Market Cycles newsletter, will make the bearish case. In May, Eliades received the Charles H. Dow Award for Excellence in Technical Analysis for his article, "Sign of the Bear."

Joining them will be Sherman and Tom McClellan, originators of the McClellan oscillator and summation index and publishers of the McClellan Market Report. In the year 2000, they were named Timer Digest's Bond Timer of the Year. Using their well-respected proprietary indicators and finely tuned approach to the financial markets, they will make the persuasive case that the current market is going nowhere. Rounding out the seminar is guest speaker Adrienne Toghraie, a trading psychologist, coach, and neurolinguistic programmer. The master of ceremonies will be Harvey Baraban, a 40-year veteran of the stock market.

    DTN FINANCIAL SERVICES

DTN Financial Services has released DTN IQ 2.0, a software platform used by professional stockbrokers and active investors that integrates real-time stock and options quotes with trading platforms, analytical tools, charts, news, time and sales, and market scans.

With the release of version 2.0, DTN's own ticker plant will fuel DTN IQ with market data direct from the exchanges. The DTN ticker plant consolidates data directly from the major North American exchanges on hundreds of thousands of stocks, futures, options, and indices, each of which may trade thousands of times a day. These price updates and related data are delivered to DTN's customers in real time.

Another noticeable improvement to DTN IQ 2.0 is enhanced processing speeds. Customers will also be able to receive real-time and delayed quotes within the same program. Delayed quotes on the futures, options, and equity exchanges are available. Anyone who has completed the exchange agreements and is paying real-time exchange fees will continue to receive real-time quotes.
