Astro Economics will hold its 11th world conference on astrophysics and trading on April 24-25, in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Palisade Corporation has released a new tool that allows spreadsheet users to find solutions where risk is involved. RISKOptimizer integrates the functions of the Palisade's risk analysis tool, @RISK, and its optimizer, Evolver.
@RISK runs Monte Carlo simulations with spreadsheet data, and Evolver uses genetic algorithms to arrive at spreadsheet solutions. The hybrid program can solve spreadsheet problems too complex for other programs to manage. It answers the questions "what if" and "what's best" at the same time.
